A Virtual Success!
ShamrAuction Surpasses Goal

Cathedral High School is proud to announce our community not only reached our ShamrAuction fundraising goal; we surpassed it, raising $709,007! The total raised included $323,760 in sponsorships, event packages, cash donations and advertising; $196,300 in support of our Fund-A-Need for emergency COVID relief, and $188,947 in the silent auction. We are incredibly blessed and thankful for the generosity of our Cathedral family.
We'd like to extend a special thanks to our fabulous co-chairs, Kevin Elson and Megan Martin, as well as the ShamrAuction committee and our incredible sponsors. Thank you Jake Langdon '21 (pictured above) who served as our emcee for the evening and the Irish Adrenaline Show Choir for the virtual entertainment. Cathedral would also like to thank our remarkable Advancement Team and all of the educators who supported them. We'd invite anyone who didn't get a chance to watch the livestream, or anyone who'd like to see it again, to view it here.
In a year where everything has been challenging, the Cathedral family met the challenge head-on and succeeded beyond expectations. We are beyond blessed at Cathedral High School. We thank God for all of you, and we thank God for dear old Cathedral.

Chris Beaty '00 Endowed Memorial Tuition Fund

Cathedral is honored to announce the Chris Beaty '00 Endowed Memorial Tuition Fund. Thanks to countless donors' generosity, $100,000 has been donated to the fund in honor of Chris's memory and his legacy of helping others.

Every four years, one student will be selected to receive a tuition assistance grant from the Chris Beaty '00 Endowed Memorial Fund. The recipient will be chosen from a pool of freshmen applicants, with primary consideration given to inner-city African American students who embody Cathedral's Holy Cross Values. Read more about the Chris Beaty '00 Endowed Memorial Tuition Fund and how Chris's legacy lives on at Cathedral High School.

        Grand Champions!

Congratulations to the Irish Adrenaline Show Choir, who won Best Vocals, Best Visuals, and Grand Champions at the Circle City Showcase at the Warren Central High School Virtual Competition! These amazing young ladies sang and danced while wearing masks! That's not easy to do, but these fabulous performers proved they're not only talented, they are also champions!
Girls Earn Eagle Scout Rank
Congratulations to Lauren Dubbink '21 and Rebecca Richey '21 on earning their Eagle Scout rank! Girls were allowed into Boy Scouts in 2017, and Lauren and Rebecca were eager to take advantage of the opportunity.
You can read more about Lauren's and Rebecca's achievements in our online student newspaper, IrishMegaphone.com.

         Amazing Artwork!

Above is just one of the pieces by Hays Teasley '21 that won a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Teasley also created the beautiful artwork that was featured in last month's newsletter, but mistakenly attributed to a different artist. To view other works that won Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, click here.
