This Weekend KCMS Won Big

King County Medical Society (KCMS) was proud to present eighteen  (18) resolutions, written by the KCMS Delegate Council, at the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) annual meeting this past weekend.  Kudos to WSMA for providing a VIRTUAL annual meeting.

Via Zoom, resolution authors each provided a two minute summary of their resolution followed by an open discussion by the WSMA house of delegates (HOD).

KCMS had 100% success! None of our resolutions were “Not Adopted.”  Some resolutions were amended, but we were delighted with the outcomes. If a resolution was “referred” it does NOT mean that it was rejected - it will be assigned to a WSMA committee for study.

KCMS resolutions and results are named below, or you can read them HERE

Personally, I would like to congratulate the members of our Delegate Council for their outstanding work! Your physician colleagues gave untold hours of their free time to advance efforts to improve healthcare and enhance the practice of medicine. This weekend alone, our delegates spent over 15 hours on Zoom! It was challenging, but we accomplished so much. Thank you all!

Sincerely,

Nancy L. Belcher, Ph.D., MPA
CEO, King County Medical Society
