Correction: Important Information about Your Fall Payment Plan |
|
|
Dear Student,
Our records show you are utilizing our monthly payment plan through Transact for the fall semester. We hope you find this payment option beneficial. We are writing to share some important information about the plan, including answers to frequently asked questions.
|
-
The fall plan runs from July through November; installments are due on the first of each month.
- You may make individual monthly payments or enroll (or unenroll) in the convenient automatic payment option.
-
Payments must be made within the SIS/eBill portal using the payment plan balance designation to count towards the installments.
-
The plan is flexible by allowing users to set their own budget. You may adjust your budget if needed, but please note it will not adjust automatically based on a balance change in SIS. Budget adjustments recalculate the amounts due for future installments only.
-
Should you incur additional charges to Tufts, you may increase your plan budget or remit payment for the difference through another payment method.
-
Please decrease your plan budget to avoid overpayment if your overall balance becomes less than the amount you contracted to pay the plan. You may also decrease your budget to account for an expected outside payment that will not apply to the plan.
-
The plan is intended as a means to pay your balance to Tufts over an extended period of time. Please do not intentionally over-budget your plan for the purpose of generating credits to be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel a plan if there is no balance due to Tufts.
-
Transact reserves the right to charge fees for late and/or returned payments and to cancel plans if users are not upholding their payment agreement. In the event a plan is canceled, payment for the outstanding balance is due immediately to Tufts and subject to applicable late fees and holds in SIS. Users who default on a payment plan may not be permitted to enroll in the plan in future semesters.
-
If you no longer need or want to pay in installments, please send your request to withdraw from the plan in writing to StudentServices@tufts.edu. Alternatively, you may opt to pay the remaining plan balance in full; there is no penalty for completing the plan early.
|
Should you have questions about the plan not addressed here or on our website, please contact us at StudentServices@tufts.edu or 617-627-2000. Enrollment for the spring semester plan will open on November 1, shortly before spring bills are issued.
Sincerely,
Bursar's Office, Tufts University
