Research Matters Series

It's not too late to join us for the Research Matters series! Research Matters is a series of courses designed for faculty and staff who engage with the grants and contracts process. The diverse course content will engage the attendee in the entire project life cycle and provide valuable resources for developing and supporting research at GVSU.

RedCap Shutdown Scheduled for 10/17/23

On October 17th, the REDCap system will be inaccessible for the entire day as IT will be conducting a migration process to enhance the system's performance and reliability. During this time, you will not be able to access or use the system. Please contact arcit@gvsu.edu with any questions.

Recruitment of GVSU Students, Faculty, and Staff by External Researchers

If you are asked by non-GVSU researchers to distribute research recruitment materials to GVSU students, faculty, and/or staff, please direct the external researcher(s) to complete the External Research Recruitment Request Form. The ORCI reviews this form to determine if GVSU is engaged in the research and if GVSU Institutional Review Board oversight is required. Note that this Request Form is only to be used if GVSU personnel are distributing the recruitment materials on behalf of external researchers; if you are contacted directly by external researchers simply to be a participant in their study, review by the ORCI is not required.

Q: How do I allow someone else access to my IRB form to help me complete it?

A: In OneAegis, the person who initially opens the form is the “owner” of the form, and they will have “edit, manage, and submit” rights. They can grant others access to the form by clicking the blue “Collaborators” button on the top of any page in a form. This will open a pop-up window where they can select the user they wish to add and assign them rights (view, edit, manage, and/or submit). Anyone assigned with “manage” rights will be able to add other users to the form. Note that the user being added must already be registered in OneAegis. If they are not already registered, they can be added using the Contact Look-Up/Add Contact Form.
