Catalyst and Collaborative Grant Proposals DUE

We hope you were able to take advantage of the Offfice Hours and are prepared to submit your proposal for Round 2 of the Catalyst or Collaborative Grant due TODAY, February 1st.

No? Well, do not fret! Round 3 of the Catalyst or Collaborative Grant proposals are due Friday, March 15th. Office Hours for Round 3 are being offered on:

CSCE & Workday

CSCE will continue with the same process in which the departments submit a fund transfer request for the one lump sum, just like we did with OnBase, but now it's in Workday. The process should be available some time this month, and once we have those instructuctions we will add them to our website. Keep an eye on the Dissemination Grant Budget Information and Mini Grant Budget Information pages for details.

Student Scholars Day (SSD) Registration Opens

Student Scholars Day (SSD) celebrates scholarship, research, and creative work performed by GVSU students. All GVSU students, graduate and undergraduate, are welcome to present their scholarly and creative work at SSD on April 10, 2024. Registration opens Monday, February 5th. Please encourage your students to take part! And we're always looking for volunteers to support our students at SSD. Sign up to volunteer starting February 5th.

Mentoring from Different Perspectives: For Faculty
First Session: February 28, 2024
Second Session: March 13, 2024

These workshops will provide opportunities for faculty and staff to consider how to support student mentees with a focus on trust and belonging.

In the first session, we will collectively reflect on our own experiences with mentoring as a basis for discussing the role of trust and belonging in mentoring relationships.

In the second session, we will focus in more detail on inclusive strategies that make explicit how activities relate to student engagement and development.

Note that participation in both sessions is not required; we will provide supplemental materials for the session not attended.

Compliance Corner

Q: I have old forms in OneAegis (f.k.a. IRBManager) that I no longer need. Is there a way to delete these?

A: Yes. If the form hasn’t been submitted yet, the user can delete it from the system. From the OneAegis dashboard, select the “xForms” tab and the “Unsubmitted” filter button right below the tabs. Then, hover your mouse over the white box below the name of the form you want to delete, and a red “x” will appear in the upper-right corner of the white box. Click on this “x” to delete the form. Forms that have been submitted (found under “Forms Awaiting Attention” on the OneAegis dashboard) cannot be deleted by the user. Please contact ORCI if you’d like to have any previously submitted form deleted.
