Dear Graduate Students:

Campus-wide elections take place on Feb. 27 and 28, 2023, including for two key student organizations: The Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) and Student Government. As a graduate student, you are eligible to run and vote in both races.

The Graduate School encourages you to make your voice heard and participate in the official representative bodies of graduate students.

VIEW CAMPUS-WIDE RACES

To vote, log in to HornsLink with your UT EID via utexasvote.org on Feb. 27 or 28.

Graduate Student Assembly

The Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) represents all graduate students to the university administration. It passes legislation on graduate student issues, collects information about graduate student concerns and helps resolve issues facing graduate students on campus.

Graduate students are eligible to be elected to the Graduate Student Assembly president and vice president roles.

Student Government

Student Government (SG) is elected to represent all students—including graduate and undergraduate students—on campus issues.

Graduate students are eligible to be elected to many positions within Student Government, including president and vice president. If you are eligible to vote in an election, you are also eligible to run for positions within that election.

Find information about campus-wide elections at utexasvote.org. You can review information on how to file to participate and search the list of open positions.

Filing is open for these positions until noon on Feb. 6, 2023.
