Now Accepting Applications for Affordable Apartments in North Tonawanda
People Inc. offers affordable housing in various locations across Western New York, including one of its newest apartment buildings opening soon in North Tonawanda, NY. As part of its Mixed-Income Housing, People Inc. Grant Street Apartments, located at 25 Grant Street in North Tonawanda, NY, are for people 18 years and older who meet income eligibility; rental vouchers accepted. Rental applications are currently being accepted. Encourage family and friends to apply today for a spring move-in! Located in the heart of North Tonawanda, the apartment building is just minutes from local shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, theatre, banks, schools and so much more.
The apartments also provide an opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live independently to enjoy quality integrated housing. This is critical during this time as new housing development opportunities through OPWDD are severely limited.
An Apartment Application Day will be held for those interested in these apartments to address any eligibility questions. This opportunity will be held on Saturday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at People Inc. Highland School Apartments, 105 Highland Avenue, Tonawanda (which is an additional Affordable Income Housing location managed by People Inc.). For more information or to RSVP, email housing@people-inc.org or call 716.880.3890. If you can’t attend, you can download the apartment application or contact us with any questions.

Spotlight: People Inc. Senior Living
Niagara County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit Receives Support: Over the years, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department has conducted many educational programs for tenants at People Inc. Pine Senior Living in Lockport, NY. Tenants were shown engaging demonstrations, including some from a dog in the department’s K-9 Unit. Sadly, the dog passed away just months after tenants had seen him. In response, they were inspired to do something special for the Sheriff’s Department. Through several fundraisers last year, they raised more than $500, which was donated to the Sheriff’s Department to buy a bulletproof vest for one of their K-9s!
