Taking Mentorship by Storm: Alumni2Student Speed Mentoring Reception was no match for the Snow Storm on Feb 27!
Speed Mentoring featured industry focused mentor clusters, helping students and alumni focus on their communication and presentational skills while enjoying an evening of networking. Schulich International Case Competition Empowering future responsible mining leaders
The annual Schulich International Case Competition (SICC) provides an opportunity for Undergraduate and Masters' Level students from business schools around the world to compete in building an innovative long-term strategy capable of bringing both social and financial returns while managing real-world challenges faced by mining companies today. This year’s competition featured 11 student teams, with team NextGen Resources from the University of Western Australia taking first place. Thank you to our presenting sponsor CIBC Capital Markets, and silver-level sponsor Kinross for their continued support. Tammy Ezer (BBA '98, MBA '04) takes Schulich students Back to the Future
The Schulich Alumni Relations Office in collaboration with the student-run York Marketing Association (YMA), welcomed alumna Tammy Ezer back to campus for an evening fireside chat focused on consumer behaviour and the ever-changing job of marketing.
The author of I Love My Agency: A Path to Better Brands, Tammy delivered a session packed full of insights, tips and opinions on industry shifts, trends and life lessons learned across marketing, branding and consumer behaviour practice areas. In sharing her guiding principals to success in marketing, Tammy underscored the importance of developing and nurturing strong and effective relationships, both inside and outside the organization, as a cornerstone to her success to date.
