To the Andover community,
We are pleased to provide an update on the ongoing Head of School search process.
As shared previously, Andover has retained Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CS&A), an executive search firm focused on education, to partner with us. CS&A brings deep knowledge of independent schools from decades of experience guiding institutions through their searches for exceptional heads of school, senior administrators, and faculty.
Our CS&A consultants, Devereaux McClatchey, Todd Bland, and Marsha Little, recently spent two full days on campus hosting 17 meetings and multiple virtual follow-up meetings. They have met with more than 170 members of our community, including students, parents, and employees. In addition, nearly 1,500 members of the Andover community—including over 1,000 alumni—have shared their hopes for Andover’s next chapter through our online community survey. We look forward to sharing themes from the survey responses in the coming weeks.
While the Board of Trustees will have the ultimate responsibility for selecting the new head of school, a Search Committee led by trustee Eric Zinterhofer ’89, P’18, ’19, will work closely with CS&A and will be charged with screening and evaluating candidates and making a recommendation to the full board.
We are pleased to share the members of the Search Committee, listed at the end of this letter, and we are grateful for the commitment, care, and support of the Andover community during this process.
Sincerely,
Amy Falls ’82, P’19, ’21
President, Board of Trustees
