Join the Tufts Table Planning Committee and the Prejudice to Pluralism Initiative on Tuesday, April 14, 5:30–7:30 p.m., for an evening of community building, storytelling, and great food! This event will highlight the important work of the Prejudice to Pluralism cohort and invite us to reflect on how we can productively engage across differences at Tufts. Guided by a pluralism framework, we will explore ways to strengthen relationships and collaborate on shared concerns.

Join the Tufts President’s Office and the Career Center on Wednesday, April 15, 6–8 p.m. in the JCC Lantern Room, 601 for a presentation featuring Chris J. Valente ’05, incoming President of the Tufts Alumni Council, experienced Litigator, and former Swim & Dive Team member. Chris is an international arbitration practitioner with a focus on commercial litigation and cross-border disputes. Chris also co-leads his firm’s Artificial Intelligence Solutions Group. Light dinner served.

[ENVS] Drawing on Water Sharing Traditions in a Warming Cairo |
Join us on Thursday, April 16 at 12 noon for a conversation on how residents of Cairo, Egypt respond to intensifying urban heat by drawing on long-standing traditions of water sharing. Tessa Farmer, Associate Professor at the University of Virginia, will explore how everyday water practices shape resilience in the city. We’ll raffle three copies of Tessa’s book Well-Connected: Everyday Water Practices in Cairo (2023) for the in-person audience. The talk will also be livestreamed and recorded.

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program offers three years of funding to pursue any graduate degree program at Stanford University, from a master's or doctoral degree to professional degree like a JD, MBA, or MD. Join Scholar Development and a representative from Knight-Hennessy to learn about the program, the application process, and the opportunities for leadership development! StAAR and CMHS: Tools for Transition: Friday, April 17 12:15pm–1:15pm in Milmore Room, Dowling Hall. In this workshop we’ll focus on your “why." Through a hands-on activity, you will get the chance to reflect on your current values, which can help you explore your identity and motivations. Each year, Tufts sends a delegation to the UN Climate Change Conference. The 2026 conference will be in Antalya, Turkey in November. All Tufts students are encouraged to apply by May 31. Tufts delegates gain important insight into the discussions that frame global climate change policy and action. Attendance at this event impacts faculty, staff, and student research. | Take GIS 101 in Talloires, France this Summer! |
GIS in Talloires is an intensive two-week course at the Tufts European Center in Talloires, France (July 13-26). The course (GIS 101 / GIS 201 / ENV 107 / INTR 81) offers 3 credits and is open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Students live in private studios in the heart of Annecy and study at the historic Prieuré in Talloires, with direct access to Alpine landscapes, Lac d'Annecy, and nearby Geneva. Instructor: Sumeeta Srinivasan. Rolling admissions until the program is filled.
