| Schulich Celebrates International Women’s Day
Dear Members of the Schulich Community,
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day – Accelerate Action – calls on us to break barriers, challenge biases, and drive meaningful change.
At Schulich, we’re proud to take action by hosting the Accelerate Action Conference here at our school, welcoming over 300 women from across the GTA – including students, professionals, and industry leaders – to connect, collaborate, and inspire. Through dynamic panels, workshops, and networking, participants will gain insights on overcoming systemic workplace barriers, building mentorship opportunities, and championing equity in their careers and communities.
A Special Announcement
I’m also excited to share the launch of the Schulich Women’s Network, a new initiative designed to support, connect, and uplift women in business. This vibrant community will provide opportunities for mentorship, networking, and outreach, empowering female students and alumni at every stage of their careers.
A special thank you to the Executive Committee Members for their dedication in making this Network a reality, to Pam Laycock, President of the Schulich Global Alumni Network, for her input and support, and to Schulich’s Advancement & Alumni Engagement Office for spearheading this initiative.
We can’t wait to see its impact – stay tuned for ways to get involved!
Please join me and the Schulich community in celebrating International Women’s Day and building a future where women in business continue to lead, innovate, and thrive.
Sincerely,
Detlev Zwick
Dean & Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Digital Marketing Strategy
