"Coming Together across Difference: Finding Common Ground across Identities and Political Divides" Viewing Event and Post-Panel Dinner |
On Tuesday, February 13, at 5–7 p.m. in the Ballou Hall Coolidge Room, all Tufts students are invited to view a panel on Coming Together across Difference. The panelists will discuss opportunities for and obstacles to finding common ground and building trust across identities and political divides. View the event livestream and join Tufts students, faculty, and staff for dinner and conversation.

Tiny Gardens Everywhere: A History of Food Sovereignty for the 21st Century |
Environmental Studies is honored to host prize-winning author Professor Kate Brown (Science, Technology and Society, MIT) on Thursday, February 15, at 12 noon as part of the Hoch Cunningham Environmental Lecture Series. She will talk about how vegetable-powered wealth underwrote urbanization and industrialization and will offer an alternative vision of urbanization for cities of the future. This talk will be livestreamed but NOT recorded.

| Let's Talk Drop-In Hours with CMHS x LGBT Center |
Do you have something on your mind? Drop by the LGBT Center this Thursday, February 15, between 1–3 p.m. to talk with CMHS counselor Stefan Jadaszewski. Let's Talk is an easy, confidential, and low commitment way to speak to a CMHS counselor about challenges in your life. Let's Talk at the LGBT Center will also happen on February 29, March 14, March 28, April 11, and April 25.

On Thursday, February 15, at 5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. in Barnum Hall LL008, join a lecture with statistician, big data expert, and co-host of the PBS series NOVA Wonders Dr. Talithia Williams! Dr. Williams' work demystifies the mathematical process and STEM education in fun and unique ways. Her lecture, "Data Driven Solutions for Eliminating Health Disparities," will focus on how data is essential for understanding social determinants of health and developing interventions to address unique populations.

Summer Scholars Application AMA and Workshop |
The Office of Scholar Development will host an AMA and workshop on Friday, February 16, at 2 p.m. in the Campus Center Room 203 for students interested in applying for the 2024 Summer Scholars program. This workshop will provide the opportunity to ask any of your application questions and get advice from former Summer Scholars on writing research proposals. Coffee and cookies will be served.

Engineers Week is for everyone: all Tufts students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are welcome to celebrate National Engineers Week 2024 February 15–23, with events, networking opportunities, and more. Check out the schedule.
Internal Transfer Workshop: A&S to Engineering (Friday, February 16, 12:30–1:30 p.m.)
Arts & Sciences students interested in a primary or secondary engineering major are invited to attend an in-person workshop as a part of EWeek. Learn about the graduation requirements for engineering majors and the internal transfer process and criteria to prepare for a successful internal transfer to Engineering. (SEC Burden Lounge, Room 108, SEC; refreshments served!)

Sign up for FREE therapy groups or workshops with CMHS! All currently enrolled students on the Medford/Somerville and SMFA Boston campuses are eligible to participate in CMHS counseling groups and workshops for free. All groups are confidential. You can participate in multiple groups each semester, and there is no limit on the number of groups you can attend while enrolled at Tufts.
