The Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division of the Federal Highway Administration will be accepting Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) applications starting August 15, 2016 until November 15, 2016.  These grants are specifically for large, multi-year projects on local roads leading to Federal lands or properties.  There is an estimated 6 million dollars available in grant funds for Tennessee.  For more information on the FLAP grant and to download an application, click here.    
The Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration within FEMA has updated the guidance and standards used for flood mappying and risk analysis efforts.  There were five standards with significant updates, three new standards, six standards with minor terminology updates, and five rescinded standards in this maintenance cycle.  To read the new standards, click here.
