4-H Static Building Entries

Cochise County Cooperative Extension will be collecting entries this year for ONLY Cochise County 4-H Static Building Fair Exhibts. Please carefully read the directions below.
There are separate entry systems for Cloverbud and 4-H Fair Entries.

Building Entry Deadline is September 1

Make sure to include all potential exhibits, even if they haven't been completed yet. If you're unable to finish a project before the fair, it's preferable to withdraw that entry rather than not having it entered at all.

CLOVERBUDS Static Building Entries

Cloverbuds will enter their fair building entries by clicking the button below. Our entry system has a limited number of entries allowed. To ensure we stay within the limits of the entry system, we are requiring CLOVERBUDS to enter their projects for the fair in a separate form. Cloverbud entries are due September 1.

Junior 8-10 years
Intermediate 11-13 years

Below is the link to the required Champion Building Snapshot Form. This form will need to be filled out in the 4-H Member's handwriting and turned in with exhibits on Wednesday, September 20th.

Please note, due to the way the entry system works, the Divisions and classes had to be renumbered. Below is a link to the updated Rules & Division Book. The only changes made were the numbering of Divisions and Classes.

ZSuites - Enrollment for the 2023-2024 year

Please be aware that the new 4-H Year Enrollment began on August 1st. Your current year projects and Record Books are still there! Under the member profile, there will be a dropdown that you will need to select 2022-2023 year to view the current 2022-2023 year.

Volunteers: Please be sure to re-register in ZSuites for the new 4-H Year. If you are interested in beginning the 4-H Volunteer process, or if you need help completing the volunteer process, please reach out to Haley Chappell. All adults who work with 4-H youth must complete the 4-H Volunteer Certification process.

Cochise County 4-H will be waiving the enrollment fee for one more year, there will be no cost to join 4-H in Cochise County!

Record Books

Record Book Requirements for Fair

Livestock: (Per Fair Rule Book page 13) "All exhibitors planning to sell large stock or small stock must turn in a summary form of records at check-in."
Ensure all records are as complete as possible before arriving at the fair to make check-in easier!

Static Building: All community club leaders will receive a report of static building entries the week of September 4th to check club member record books for building projects. (Club leaders have access to their member's record books in ZSuites)

County Record Book Competition: Record Books will be due to either Extension Office by October 25th at 5:00 pm. 4-H Record Books will need to be printed and placed in a report cover or a 4-H Record Book Cover. If you are not able to print your record book out, please contact Haley Chappell so that she can assist you in completing your record book.

If you would like to have a 4-H Record book cover you can purchase them for $2 each from the Willcox Extension Office, or you can purchase them on the Shop 4-H Website (4-H Record Book Covers are not required for competition, regular report covers are acceptable.)

Don't forget... Fair Workday is Tomorrow!

We hope to see you at the Cochise County Fairgrounds tomorrow, Saturday, August 26th! If you are able, please bring some basic tools (hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches) and paintbrushes for work in the 4-H Building.

Arizona 4-H Shooting Sports is partnering with the VFW to offer another free indoor air rifle fun shoot. This month's event is being hosted by VFW Post #9399 in Apache Junction (address listed on the flyer). Youth aged 8-18 years old are encouraged to come out and give indoor air rifle shooting a try. Shooting begins at 10:00 a.m. and will end at approximately 2:00 p.m. Lunch is being provided by the VFW. All current 4-H members and youth who are interested in learning more about 4-H are encouraged to attend!
