Dear Community Members,
Greenbriar Children’s Center is excited to be hosting a special event screening for the film No Small Matter, the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education.
Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
Greenbriar began its mission 70 years ago to meet an unmet need in the community. Now as we begin our next 70 years, Greenbriar will continue to address emerging community needs; one of which is affordable, quality early childhood education. We endeavor to alleviate the everyday crisis faced by our families by recognizing the critical importance of early childhood development and addressing this importance through enhancement and expansion of our services and supports for our youngest children and their families.
We urge you to come together as the Savannah/Chatham community to view the film and join Greenbriar Children’s Center in becoming champions for our youngest children and their families.
