Tom and Hilary plan a much-needed vacation to the tropics. As Hilary is on a business trip the week before, they agree to meet at their destination and Tom heads down a day ahead of his wife to get everything ready.
After unpacking at the hotel, Tom decides to send Hilary a brief email to let her know he arrived okay. He accidentally changes the first letter of his wife’s email address, but doesn’t notice, rattles off a quick message and hits send before changing into his swimming trunks and going down to the pool.
The unfortunate recipient of his misdirected email was Jane, an elderly woman whose husband, a bishop, had recently passed away.
Upon returning home from grocery shopping one day, Jane sits down to check her email. After taking one look at the monitor, she lets out a piercing scream, and faints in her chair.
At the sound, her family rushes into the room. After making sure that Jane is alright and moving her to the porch for some fresh air, her son returns to the computer and sees this note on the screen:
Dearest Wife,
Just checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
See you soon!
P.S. Sure is hot down here.
