The Community Soup Bowl was started in 1981 by five downtown churches — Christ Episcopal, First African Baptist, First Baptist, First Presbyterian, and FUMCT.
FUMCT was instrumental in expanding to serve meals on weekends in 2003. FUMCT continues to support the Soup Bowl financially, and its members are still actively involved as Board members and volunteers. The Soup Bowl serves more than 100,000 meals per year to those in need.

This past Sunday, we celebrated the baptism of a member of our church family. Baptism is a beautiful reminder of God's grace and the promise of new life in Christ.
Join us in celebrating this special milestone for the Goodall family.

There are a few copies of the bestselling church history (complete with a large collection of familiar faces in younger years) covering 1960s through 2008, which was completed in honor of the Church’s 190th year.

Little Lambs Fall/Winter Sale |

Consignor Registration begins Thursday, July 16th:
9:00 PM: Spring 2026 sale volunteers can register to consign (150 spots available)
9:15 PM: anyone can register to consign (until spots are filled)

The Little Lambs Sale is a large, community wide semiannual consignment sale sponsored by FUMCT. It is completely operated by church members and community volunteers. We offer gently-used children’s clothing up to size 14, baby items (such as strollers, swings, and high chairs), nursery furniture, toys and books.
We would love to have our church family help us execute this amazing week where thousands of local families will come through our doors.
