The University of Memphis (UofM) will hold a hearing on a proposed new rule titled “Classifying Students In-State and Out-of-State.” At the hearing, UofM will present and receive comments on this proposed rule which is intended to comply with the statutory provisions governing admissions and classification of students, specifically T.C.A. §§ 49-7-101, 49-7-137, 49-8-102, and 49-8-104.

  The hearing will be held at the University of Memphis in the University Center located at 499 University Dr., Memphis, TN 38152, Beale Room 363 on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00 am CDT.  Members of the public are invited to attend.

All families and parents who are nominated by their student will receive a congratulatory letter and a copy of the essay submission. Winners are encouraged to attend the Parent & Family Weekend Homecoming Parade on Friday, November 1 at 5:30 pm and MUST be able to participate in the Football Game on Saturday, November 2, and the Parent & Family Weekend Brunch on Sunday, November 3 at 10:00 am.
