Students can earn academic credit for conducting independent research with a faculty or industry mentor. Complete the required application and research plan to earn credit for Spring 2019 once you have identified a lab or faculty/PI.

BioScholars and Triton Consulting Group invite you to participate in the 2019 Annual Biotechnology Case Consulting Competition (BioTechathalon). Participating in this biotech-business hackathon competition is a fun learning experience that gives students the opportunity to engage in answering an interesting, real-life challenge that a biotech company might face. This program is designed to inspire practical solutions that promote conservation of Alaska’s ecosystems for generations to come.

This summer, team members will earn 15 quarter credits (10 semester credits). NOTE: credit towards UCSD Biology majors is not guaranteed. To be considered for major credit, students should consult with their major department and possibly petition for credit.

Identifying key species in Denali National Park and Denali State Park, such as grizzly bears, moose, caribou, wolves and the iconic Dall sheep!
