Environmental Studies is turning 40! To celebrate this milestone, we are bringing 12 alumni back to campus this fall. Please help us share the series and the opening lecture, which will be given by Dr. Saleem Ali, A94, on Thursday, September 5, at 12 noon. Dr. Ali is an environmental security scholar with research and practical experience centered on resolving ecological conflicts using both technical and social approaches. He will discuss how to be an effective leader in the 21st century in his talk.

It's your time to shine; welcome to your senior year! Start the year off in style by grabbing your free Senior t-shirt this Friday, September 6. Head to the Campus Center Upper Patio at 2–5 p.m. to claim yours. We've got tie-dye, fabric markers, and stencils so you can show off all your Jumbo pride!

Students and Student Organizations can submit events to JumboLife! Add your event by Thursday at 12 noon each week, and we'll include it in the Jumbo Digest on Sunday.

Whether you're returning for another year or stepping onto campus for the first time, we want to wish you a happy new school year. This new chapter brings with it a blend of excitement, opportunities, and sometimes a bit of stress. Remember, it's perfectly normal to feel a mix of emotions as you settle in.

Counseling and Mental Health Service (CMHS) is here to support you through this time.  We have expanded our counseling services by collaborating with Mantra Health to offer eligible students extended hours and additional clinicians for online care.

Sign up or log in to Mantra Health using your @tufts.edu email. All students that have paid the Comprehensive Health & Wellness fee are eligible.

Coming fall semester 2024! An individual MATLAB license will be required for use on personal and Tufts machines, including virtual desktops. All computer lab machines will be updated and are available for use by end of August. Learn more and activate yours today.

Welcome to a new academic year!

As classes begin, check your classes in SIS to confirm that your enrollment and that all pre-matriculation/transfer credits are on your transcript. Full-time students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits. 

Remember: The last day to ADD a class is Tuesday, September 10 (11:59 p.m.).

Kick off this academic year right and join Tufts Day of Service! Volunteers will meet promptly on Friday, September 20, at 1 p.m. at 51 Winthrop Street (Medford) for check-in, and all supplies and instructions will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle and wear sneakers and Tufts gear. There will be snacks, water and fun raffle prizes from local businesses. Tufts students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and community members are encouraged to participate; bring your friends.
