Did you know that the north side of campus was once home to a nuclear reactor? The former Neely Nuclear Research Center (NNRC) has been designated as an American Nuclear Society Nuclear Historic Landmark in recognition of its nearly four decades of pioneering contributions to nuclear science, education, and technology. The NNRC operated from 1964 until its closure in 1995.
