Well-Being Council Spotlight - Dr. Rick Stein |
Dr. Rick Stein is a Professor in the Division of Nutritional Science and Obesity Medicine with a focus on the behavioral treatment of obesity and improving access to obesity care. He joined the DOM Well-Being Council (WBC) when it was founded in December 2022. Dr. Stein enjoys collaborating with the Well-Being Council to create opportunities that support well-being, stress reduction, and a healthy, supportive work environment at WashU Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Stein likes taking walks, visiting farmers markets for fresh local produce, and working out at the gym — especially Move by BJC in the Cortex area. He enjoys gardening to grow his own vegetables and herbs, providing him with peaceful time outdoors, and he also likes volunteering in his neighborhood, which brings him balance and connection.
