| Los Angeles, CA (Oct. 13, 2016) - The 14th Annual Lucie Awards announces this year’s host as well as one of the special presenters. The Lucies host will be New York-based champion of photography: collector, curator and consultant, W.M. (Bill) Hunt. The Lucie Awards take place on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, NYC. Tickets are on sale at www.lucies.org. Additionally, the esteemed Ann Wilkes Tucker, former Curator, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, will be presenting Mr. Lyons’ award. Anne Wilkes Tucker was Nathan Lyons’ student, and she subsequently founded the photo department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston 39 years ago. Joanne Lyons is accepting on behalf of Nathan Lyons, who was working in digital color until the time of his death. He passed away at the age of 86 on August 31, 2016. W.M. (Bill) Hunt is a New York-based a champion of photography: collector, curator and consultant. He has organized shows from his collections: “Hunt’s Three Ring Circus: American Groups Before 1950” in New York with the ICP as well as in Arles, Bologna and Houston. Highlights from the collection featured in his book “The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the Unconscious” have been exhibited at the Eastman House and Arles, Musée de l'Elysée and FOAM. A dealer for many years, he was a principle in Hasted Hunt and Ricco/Maresca Gallery and responsible for introducing many major contemporary artists in the US. Hunt has been a judge or nominator for The Lucie Awards, World Press Photo, SONY WPO, Prix Pictet, Getty Images, etc. He has been a longtime board member of the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund, AIPAD (Association of International Photography and Art Dealers), and The Center for Photography at Woodstock. He also teaches at the School of Visual Arts, Aperture and ICP and for many years he has produced the “Your Picture …” panels for PDN. He is a frequent contributor to L’Oeil de la Photographie and the author of many essays for artist’s monographs. It has been said, “He loves photography. It changed his life. It gave him one.”

| The Lucie Awards are a celebration of photography’s greatest achievements the world over. The Lucie Foundation and the global photography community will recognize this year’s extraordinary honorees and the talented winners from the 2016 International Photography Awards (IPA) juried competition - the Foundation’s sister-effort. Awards presented will include: Lucie Honorees, IPA prizes, Support Category Awards, a special tribute to those in the industry who have passed on. The 2016 honorees who will join the distinguished group of 107 prior photographers include: Don McCullin for Achievement in Photojournalism, Rosalind Fox Solomon for Achievement in Portraiture, Anthony Hernandez for Achievement in Fine Art, Simon Bruty for Achievement in Sports, Graham Nash as the Double Exposure Award recipient, Tsuneko Sasamoto as the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Nathan Lyons, posthumously as the Visionary Award recipient, and The Musée de l’Elysée as the Spotlight Award recipient.
