Vanessa Linn, Port of Portland
With Vanessa Linn, Outstanding Customer Service is Just a Call Away
Vanessa Linn (she/her) with the Port of Portland was nominated by Betsy, a PDX traveler:
"I called PDX to ask about getting assistance for my cousin who was returning to Germany. She speaks very little English and with the beautiful new remodel, I wanted to ensure she would be able to navigate through security and get to the correct gate successfully. Vanessa was friendly and gave helpful tips and suggestions to assuage our concerns."

Resources Available After Tragic Incident at PDX
Over the weekend, there was a tragic incident at PDX. We’re grateful to the Port of Portland Police, Portland Airport Fire and Rescue, Operations team members and emergency dispatchers for their swift response and their commitment to ensuring the safety of airport employees and travelers.
If you were impacted by this event, there are resources available to help with recovery and healing, including connecting with a trained trauma intervention volunteer who can provide emotional aid and practical support. There are also help lines to call if you or someone you know needs mental health crisis support.
We’re fortunate to have first responders at the airport who stand ready to help when needed. If you experience an emergency situation, call 503.460.4000 immediately – that’s the same number that’s on the back of your PDX badge – and help will be on the way.

Be Knowledgeable: Spot a Spill at PDX? Here’s What to Do First
With the shiny – and potentially slick – terrazzo floors in the new main terminal, there’s always a possibility of slipping. To help keep people safe, warning signage is now attached to trash receptacles in the market hall and concessions areas. If you see a spill, take action right away by pulling out and placing the signage, then call the Maintenance Operations Center at 503.460.4683 to report the spill.

PDX in Pictures
As we look back on 2024, we have much to be grateful for and we're inspired by the many ways airport employees went above and beyond for each other. Our annual employee appreciation week, PDX People exclusive open houses to welcome the new main terminal, our first PDX Bring Your Child to Work Day, and quarterly customer service award celebrations are just a few examples of how we celebrate PDX People. Thanks for being the heart of our airport and here's to a new year full of celebrating what makes PDX a world-class favorite airport: YOU!
