For more than 30 years, UM-Dearborn has honored outstanding alumni for their contributions to the university and community. These men and women are Difference Makers who have continued the university's legacy of leadership in their lives and careers. They are making a positive impact in their workplaces and communities, and serve as strong role models for a new generation of UM-Dearborn student leaders. Engineered support Graduates of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy interested in studying engineering will be eligible to receive a full scholarship to UM-Dearborn because of the generosity of alumnus John Junge.

A chemistry professor and her two students collected $1 and $5 bills across Detroit and tested them for cocaine. The results could help local police curb drug crime and raise public awareness of drug abuse in our society.
The power of a good book Mary Ann Zawada wanted to honor her sister's generosity and love for books. The result is a fund that helps alleviate UM-Dearborn students' financial burden that stems from purchasing textbooks.
