Dear Colleagues,
As part of OHIO’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Assessment, we would like to request your participation in a business process driver analysis. You will be invited to an introductory meeting the week of August 19 to provide more details; this email aims to provide an overview of the process.
The ERP assessment is the first step of a multi-phase approach to evaluating, selecting, and eventually implementing new processes and technologies to support core university functions in human resources, finance, and student administration. Our goal is to modernize how Ohio University works to support the student, employee and community experience.
What is the business process driver analysis?
The goal of the business process driver analysis is to identify where processes are likely to be most impacted by the introduction of new technologies, to understand the reasons for current business process variation across units, and whether that variation may or may not need to persist in a new ERP system.
The business process driver analysis will be shared with administrative units across campus and includes questions about approximately 20 key business processes which may or may not apply to your unit. The analysis will not be used to evaluate your unit or your team and is only for planning purposes related to the future ERP and related process improvements.
Analysis details and timeline
Our partners from the Huron Consulting Group will provide additional instructions for completion during the introductory meeting. You are being asked to respond on behalf of your team, and we encourage you to work with your colleagues to complete it as needed. The deadline for completion is September 16.
Please reach out to Rory Pavach at rpavach@hcg.com from Huron should you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your time and participation in this important initiative.
