Here's your news for May from on and off campus. Spring at Carleton always means plenty of Ultimate Frisbee, and four club teams (Syzygy, CUT, Eclipse, and CHOP) are headed to Nationals, just like they did last year. The layout for the MIAC tennis championship semifinals includes the men's and women's teams too. Our high-flying alumni continue to make their mark as well; Wes Sundquist ’81 has been named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025, and Anna Paulson ’87 will be the next president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. If you've got news of your own to share, from the least to the greatest, do get in touch, and read on for more news from campus and beyond.

Ready to embark on a new reading adventure?
The Carleton book club is gearing up for our next book, Look Closer by David Ellis, and we’d love you to join us from May 17 to July 25. It’s a fantastic opportunity to dive into new stories and share your insights with fellow Carls!
From the bestselling and award-winning author comes a wickedly clever and fast-paced novel of greed, revenge, obsession — and quite possibly the perfect murder.
The book club is held online through a private discussion forum where members can respond to different questions about the book and other "bookish" topics at whatever time is convenient for them. It is easy and free!
