Every student has a voucher of up to $50.00 to spend on artwork materials for Spring 2026, thanks to the SMFA Student Government Association. Complete this form as soon as possible and up to 2 weeks before you need the materials. Funding is distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Apply for the Beinecke Scholarship, a nationally competitive award of $5,000 prior to entering graduate school and an additional $30,000 while attending graduate school. Arts and Society Dialogues: Collective Inquiry Salon Series
When: Monday, February 9 from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Where: Alumnae Lounge, Aidekman Art Center, Medford/Somerville campus
Laboratory for Other Worlds is an interdisciplinary exhibition and book project by Patte Loper, Andrew Kemp and Erin Genia linking climate science to social justice. Professors Loper and Kemp will discuss their collaborative work, followed by small group conversations.

Gallery Talks & Reception: Reframing Campus Ecologies

MFA Pathways Internship Information Session

Join MFA staff, including past and current interns, to learn more about the MFA Pathways Internship program. Through semester-long graduate- and undergraduate-level paid internships in departments across the MFA, interns gain hands-on training in specific museum roles, participate in professional development to learn about a range of museum careers and practices, and build professional networks.

Part-Time Lecturer Timothy Hyunsoo Lee's solo exhibition gwisin baljaguk (ghost prints) opens at Boston City Hall galleries from February 16 through May 8.

Professor of the Practice Jennie Jieun Lee has a new solo museum debut exhibition, Luteal Elements and Grooves at The Aldrich in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The show features new and recent works centered on invention and ceremony as well as kilns, glazes and shirts made during her time teaching at SMFA. The show runs through May 25. There will be a rocket kiln workshop in May.
