What’s your obsession? Particle physics? History of dance? Early American political poetry? Crepidula Fornicata? Kant? Spend this summer working closely with a faculty mentor and a cohort of like-minded nerds from across the disciplines in Tufts’ Summer Scholars program.
The Summer Scholars Program is a ten-week program that provides funding to pursue an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Each scholar receives $1000 towards research expenses and a $3500 stipend. Additionally, scholars receiving financial aid are also eligible for a housing scholarship.
As the program is extremely intensive, students are not allowed to pursue employment more than 5-10 hours per week and may not take summer classes or participate in internships while participating in Summer Scholars.
