The Local Government Insurance Pool (LGIP) is offering their members another innovative tool to provide quality employee training online.  Through LGIP's insurance partners, County Reinsurance Limited and Safety National, they now offer an alternative to traditional training through this self-paced, online training resource called "Safety Training Source".  There are over 150 titles to choose from and you may assign the appropriate title to individuals or departments within your organization.  The learning management system also allows you to log progress, scores, and completion of training to help your county to comply with regulatory requirements.  On February 9th at 9am (central time), a webinar will be offered by Safety National to get any questions or concerns you have regarding their online training.  The information below will lead you to the webinar.  Click here to attend the webinar.  The meeting number is 804 298 850 and password is 12345.  If you prefer to call in, the number is 1-855-244-8681 (Access code is 804 298 850)
The National Association of Counties (NACo) offers a prescription discount card program to counties which can save their residents money on prescriptions.  There is NO cost to counties or residents to participate in this program.  Over 68,000 pharmacies participate in this discount program and on average it can save a person 24% on prescription costs.
It's easy to enroll in the program.  There is a simple checklist and contract that the county must fill out and return to NACo.  Included on the contract are specific instructions on enrolling in the program.  After signing the contract and returning it to NACo, a CVS Caremark representative will coordinate with the county to launch the program to the county's citizens.  Click here to learn more about this valuable program.
