Hi, I’m Diane and I’ve been program coordinator for NSBH since October 2021. I received my BA in political science from Notre Dame a LONG time ago and also have a BA in Architecture from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Before joining the College of Science, I worked with the Computer Vision Research Lab in Computer Science and Engineering and before that I worked in banking, law, architecture and real estate development .
I met my husband on ND’s campus, joined his band and we’ve been together ever since! Our daughter Jo just graduated from IU Bloomington with a BS in Astronomy and Physics, and our daughter Agatha is a junior at IU Bloomington studying stage management and special-effects makeup. We are all kept busy with our very quirky pandemic puppies Izzy and Tiggy and our cat Coprinopsis.
In my free time I enjoy biking, woodworking, gardening, and playing the piano and cello.

If you are in need of tutoring in the core NSBH courses (Intro Neuro, Cognitive Neuro, and Molecular Neuro), please log onto the NSBH webpage and click on the For Current Students tab. Make sure you are on Eduroam and login in with your ND login information.
You and the tutor can set up meeting times and payment rates individually. The hope is that you can meet in person and on campus as needed. This is an optional resource and is in no way required, but if you are seeking extra help in these courses we suggest using this information. Please reach out to Zach (zhahn@nd.edu) if you have any questions.

We are excited to announce our winners for the apparel design competition:
Anastasia Chibucos' design of the brain with flowers had the majority of votes! However, our apparel distributor told us that the intricate design would be too difficult to print on apparel items. We will instead use Anastasia's design for future NSBH marketing, so be on the lookout for her beautiful logo!
The second winner, which will be used on our apparel, was the property of ND Neuroscience logo by Emily McDougall! Both winners created amazing designs and will receive a free T-shirt for their winning logos.
Our online apparel store will be opening soon! Stay tuned for an email and social media to get a link to the store! You can expect to see a t-shirt, sweatpants, hoodie, and baseball hat with Emily's logo.
Huge thank you to Anastasia and Emily for creating these designs!
Best,
The NSBH Senior Leadership Committee

The Senior Leadership Committee would like to invite all of you to participate in lab shadowing this semester! This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in becoming involved in research and for those currently in a lab! Those who might be looking into joining a lab have the opportunity to “shadow” those who are currently in research labs.
For those involved in a research lab: If you are willing to let students shadow you, please fill out this Google form to tell us a little bit about yourself and your research lab. Please be sure that your PI and/or lab protocols are able to accommodate having a shadowing student before filling out the form! Once we have a decent number of submissions, we will send out your information so that students interested in shadowing you can get in touch and work out a time to shadow.
For those interested in shadowing: Hang tight and keep an eye out for an email with more information. After we hear back from students willing to let you shadow, we will send out information on their lab and contact info. Once we send this out, it will be up to you to get in touch with a lab you want to shadow and work out the logistics! Please be mindful and respectful of their time as they are taking time out of their schedule to show you what their lab is up to.
