The Comptroller's Office has released the November revenue report showing $902.6 million was collected, which is 9.58% more than was collected in November 2014 and $50.9 million greater than the budgeted estimate for November 2015.  You can read the full report here.    
Also released was the Labor Market Report for October 2015.  This report shows statistics related to non-agricultural employment across Tennessee.  Included in the report is a breakdown of employment rates in each county, as well as trends across the state and in metropolitan areas.  Click here to read the full report.
The deadline to apply for FY 2015 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program adminstered by FEMA is January 15, 2016.  These grants can be utilized to purchase critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training, and other resources needed by firefighters and emergency response teams.  Click here for more information on how to apply for these grants. 
FEMA's Emergency Management Institute will also be hosting a flood damage reduction course, "Managing Floodplain Development", March 7-10, 2016.  The course will focus on the National Flood Insurance Program, concepts of floodplain management, maps and studies, ordinance administration, and the relationship between floodplain management and flood insurance.  You must apply for the course prior to January 22, 2016. Click here for more information

The Transportation Coalition of Tennessee has released an updated online interactive map showing the list of transportation infrastructure needs across the state and in each of the 95 counties. Click here to visit the map. 


The Vera Institue for Justice has created an online tool that maps a range of data from all county jails across the nation.  This tool shows jail population statistics from 1970 to 2014 such as overall incarceration rate change and female incarceration rates.  Click here to view the mapping tool.  Also released were two reports: "In Our Own Backyard: Confronting Growth and Disparities in American Jails" and "Incarceration Trends: Data and Methods for Historical Jail Populations in U.S. Counties, 1970-2014".
