Drawing on her work with the US Surgeon General Advisory, Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad will highlight the scope of the social connection issue, present evidence of health implications, and discuss challenges and opportunities for translating this evidence into practical solutions and policy.

Join us in a panel discussion and conversation on academic freedom, scientific integrity and teaching around topics such as population health, global anti-racism, and LGBTQ+ rights in a context of local, national, and worldwide backlash, including recent controversies at HSPH. This event is co-hosted by WGH and the Population Health Sciences PhD, and is open to all. Dinner provided.
