Dear Friends,

We hope that you are doing well and that you are just as excited (if not more) for spring as we are!! At KLG, we enjoy all four (4) seasons, yet we do have a special spot for spring and the vibrant vibe! Spring officially began on 20th March, and with buds on the trees and lighter evenings come a new spirit of optimism. From Shakespeare to Wordsworth, poets have always been inspired by the season of new beginnings. On that same note, here is one of our all-time favorite spring poems called “The Enkindled Spring” by D.H. Lawrence:

This spring as it comes bursts up in bonfires green,
Wild puffing of emerald trees, and flame-filled bushes,
Thorn-blossom lifting in wreaths of smoke between
Where the wood fumes up and the watery, flickering rushes.
I am amazed at this spring, this conflagration
Of green fires lit on the soil of the earth, this blaze
Of growing, and sparks that puff in wild gyration,
Faces of people streaming across my gaze.
And I, what fountain of fire am I among
This leaping combustion of spring? My spirit is tossed
About like a shadow buffeted in the throng
Of flames, a shadow that's gone astray, and is lost.

Below are two blog posts on employment and family law. The first post is called Younger Job Applicants Want A Diverse Workforce and the second is called A Gray Divorce Could Leave You With A Lot Less Green.

Please let us know if we may be helpful to your friends, your family, or you. Our primary practice areas remain family law, employment law for workers or management, and general civil and criminal/municipal court advocacy. If you need a lawyer here or elsewhere in practice areas we do not handle, then we will make appropriate referrals for you, free of charge.

With highest regards,

Younger Americans seeking work have more than pay and benefits on their minds. Over the past ten years, highly educated and younger professionals have increasingly prioritized their values when deciding where to work. That could be diversity, environmental concerns, philanthropy, or social impact. They’re looking for employers . . .

Any divorce is stressful, but one filed later in life can cause serious repercussions: emotionally, physically and financially. A bad marriage is no recipe for success either.  However, depending on your situation, perhaps your spouse and you can live separate lives while avoiding the financial . . .
