The University of California San Diego is honored to host the Lean in Higher Education International Conference, October 18-20, 2023 on the beaches of La Jolla Shores, one of many San Diego treasures. We hope you will join us in the beautiful Robert Paine Scripps Forum, part of the UC San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Pre-Conference Nearly Full! |
Our no-additional-cost pre-conference activities are nearly full and only have single seats remaining. Check them out on the website and make your request ASAP. These activities take place the morning of Wednesday, October 18th and are open to all conference attendees!

We're putting the final touches on the conference app and will release this to registered attendees in a matter of days! See the full program schedule, detailed session descriptions, select items for your planner, connect directly with speakers and other attendees and more! It will also be available to view online via computers. Watch your email for more!

If you were able to book your stay at one of our two conference rate hotels, you're already in the neighborhood! It's a brief and beautiful walk to the Scripps Seaside Forum, the location for the Lean HE Conference.
There is no parking at the conference location.
With the beauty of the coast, comes the high demand for parking. A few options:

The La Jolla Shores Hotel offers free local van service for guests, tips encouraged
- Free public parking at the La Jolla Shores Beach Park, a 10-min walk
- Free neighborhood parking, about a 5-10 min walk, read street parking signs

UC San Diego campus shuttle system offers the "SIO Shuttle" every 15 minutes
- Ride share services are available in the area
