Uncertainty & Compassion in Medicine Webinar - June 17th

Mindful Practice within the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Hosted by the Ohio Medical Association June 17th from 7-8pm, the first session of their summer webinar series will be led by Dr. Krasner, professor of clinical medicine. In this hour-long interactive session, Dr. Krasner will guide participants through an exploration of the dynamic of uncertainty in Medicine. Drawing on the approach of Mindful Practice, participants will use elements of mindfulness, narrative medicine and appreciative dialogue to examine the dynamics in the unknowns that we encounter in medical work, from the clinic to the community. Insight dialogue and reflections on improvisation in the clinical encounter will inform how clinicians discover inner resources found in their training, their instinct for empathy, and their inherent desire for compassionate action. These inner resources are the foundation for a life of meaning and flourishing in the career of medicine.
