Sheffield will celebrate the 241st Anniversary of Elizabeth Freeman's historic court case leading to the abolishment of slavery in Massachusetts with a series of events. The events include a "Meet Elizabeth Freeman" play and "Elizabeth Freeman & the Telling of Black Stories" panel talk. The weekend will culminate with the unveiling of a bronze statue of Freeman. More info

Stockbridge Arts & Crafts Show

Sat–Sun Aug 20–21
The 30th Stockbridge Summer Arts & Crafts Show will be held on the grounds of the town offices and Bidwell Park. The event, which is free and open to the public, is organized by the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce. It will showcase over 70 jury-selected artists and crafters, ranging from paintings to ceramics, fiberware to jewelry, and sculpture to photos. There also will be vendors selling jewelry, food, and more. More info

A Guided Tour
