The Hope Farm and Gardens includes an elevated flat area with downhill slopes. Camote and ginger is planted on some of the slopes, while cassava and papayas are planted on some of the flat areas. Fruit trees adorn the top areas. The first portion of the elevated area has been designated as the “Memory Hill”.
Ornamental plants, flowering plants and fruit trees have been planted to create a special place “Nook” to honor certain persons who have given valuable assistance to the SNAP project or to honor a special person. A “Nook” is an area with 2 or 3 fruit trees, several ornamental plants and several flowering plants, usually with a “theme” of the same color of leaves or flowers. If you would like to make a donation to SNAP or honor a person on “Memory Hill”, please contact MOH Board Member Norma Amoguis at ngtamoguis@yahoo.com or by phone at (615) 979-9953.
There is still much work to be done. Executive Director Prom Amoguis and Assistant Project Director Norma will return to AUP next month, and staying for three months to begin phase two of the SNAP: Farm Project. Ed and Teresa Quirante will be returning to AUP next month as well. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for travel and continue to pray for the Mission of Hope Projects.
