Hourly Student Jobs to Recruit Survey Participants – Participant Recruiter – Missing Middle Housing Study
Hiring 3-4 highly motivated and energetic student researchers to distribute questionnaires related to neighborhood change and community resilience research across Raleigh NC. As part of the Location Matters Lab directed by Dr. Bethany Cutts, selected candidates will join on-going community-university partnerships aimed at advancing well-being through neighborhood change. This position is a great stepping-stone into social science and planning field research for students. Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to apply.
Hourly employment for current NC State Students: $30/hour
Length of Employment: July 16, 2024- Sep 31, 2025
The initial pay rate accounts for the level of personal resources required to reach multiple field sites a day. Students with Spanish language fluency will be compensated at the $35/hour rate.

National Tribal Coordinator – Climate Adaptation Science Centers
Climate change impacts are magnifying existing inequities that disproportionately affect Tribes and Tribal cultures. As a result, many Tribal Nations, communities, and organizations have begun both formal and informal climate change adaptation planning and are recognized as leaders in climate resilience. To leverage Tribal leadership and expertise in climate adaptation, the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) are seeking a National Tribal Coordinator to serve as a primary liaison and subject matter expert in Tribal partnerships, engagement, and Indigenous Knowledge. Research Scholar – Health and Human Sciences (HHS) – UNC-Greensboro
The primary purpose of this position is to provide methodological, statistical, and data management services in support of external proposals and subsequent awards, including consultation for methodological design, power analysis, and development of analytic and data management and sharing plans (DMSP). This support is available to all HHS faculty, and to a more limited extent, it is available to HHS students. These faculty and students engage in social, behavioral, and health research including bench/basic science, observational research, applied research, and community-engaged research. Program Research Administrator – Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences – NC State University
The Program Research Administrator requires knowledge and experience related to research administration and research program management. The Carolina Hurricanes are accepting applications for the 2024-25 Window World Canes Crew and are looking for hard working and reliable brand ambassadors to join its entertainment department and work all home Hurricanes games and outside appearances as necessary.
The first night of auditions will take place on Tuesday, August 6th at PNC Arena. Check-in begins at 4 PM and auditions will start promptly at 5:00 PM, late candidates will not be allowed to participate. Early arrival is encouraged. Candidates must also be available for a daytime panel interview at PNC Arena and an additional evening the following week. These dates and times will be shared with the candidates that advance to the next round.

Adult Education Programs Internship – NC Museum of History
The Education Section at the North Carolina Museum of History engages visitors of all ages, allowing them to discover, learn, and connect with North Carolina history in meaningful ways. The Adult Education Programs Intern will work closely with the Adult Education Programs Coordinator in all aspects of adult programming. The intern is also expected to work with staff members from all sections of the museum, including executive-level staff, when necessary.

The 4-H Extension Agent for the 4-H Rural Life Center & Community Youth Recreation Director has primary responsibility for planning, executing, and evaluating effective 4-H programs that utilize the 4-H Rural Life Center and community recreational opportunities to meet the needs of the county population and supports the mission of the 4-H organization, which is to develop youth and adults working with those youth to realize their full potential, becoming effective contributing citizens through participation in research-based, non-formal, hands-on educational experiences. Under the supervision of the Sports Director, the Sports Coordinator is responsible for the assistance of their assigned branch’s sports programs. They will help plan, organize, and assist in all aspects of the programs. They have the responsibility for all aspects of the programs when the Sports Director is unavailable.
The duties of the Sports Coordinator may include logistics of preparing for practices and games and the start of each sports season. This role will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining a strategic overview of guest operations across the FIFA World Cup 2026. Further, this role will oversee the implementation strategy, tools, and operational plans for seamless provision of integrated event services (e.g., travel, transport, accommodation, hospitality) to FIFA guest groups.
