School of Medicine and Health Sciences Call for Proposals: Medical and Health Sciences Education Research Grants


The Center for Faculty Excellence would like to invite all interested regular and active status SMHS faculty to submit an education research proposal for up to $10,000 for one project.  Proposals are due April 12, 2023. Proposal requirements and funding details can be found here.

Call for Authors - AMA Externally Commissioned Book Announcement


GW's Dr. Zareen Zaidi will be leading the project as an editor along with Dr. Gareth Gingell from the Dell School of Medicine as the co-editor. Click here to learn more about their roles in the project.
 
The call invites stakeholders to submit their ideas (500 words) focusing on ‘reimagining medical education’ through an equity lens. An editorial panel of nationally renowned scholars will then select author(s) to be invited to write full chapters: *View the editorial panel here

CHEERS Education Research Consultation Service

The Office of the Associate Dean for Evaluation and Educational Research is teaming up with the Collaborative for Health Education Evaluation, Research, and Scholarship (CHEERS) to offer a monthly education research consultation service. Designed as an opportunity to consult with social science researchers and other GW colleagues in a friendly group setting, the consultation service is open to any student, trainee, or faculty member affiliated with SMHS.  
The next open session will be held on Tuesday, February 28th, 12-1 pm via Zoom.

Dr. Priti Bhansali, Associate Professor of Pediatrics

Join the CFE as we highlight Dr. Priti Bhansali, who discusses her journey to working as a Pediatric Hospitalist and insight into the groups she leads that provide support and resources around teaching, learning, and scholarship. Dr. Bhansali provides insight into the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and her role as the Director of the Children's Academy of Pediatric Educators (CAPE) and how this group supports the scholarship of Pediatric faculty.
