Daiserae White, '09
Daiserae White earned a degree in communications in 2009 with an emphasis in advertising. During her time at UNF, White was the captain of the cheerleading team for two years and a member of the Delta Thigma Theta Sorority.
She is currently an Enrollment Match Specialist for
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida, a mentoring agency that provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better.
White specializes in guiding children, parents and volunteers through the enrollment processes that eventually match children and mentors.
"One of the life lessons I learned while in college was taking charge of my own destiny. I wanted to help youth in the community and use my creativity for marketing and events," she said. "My solution was to start my own business. It was not easy and required a lot of trial and error."
In addition to working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Forida, White is also the owner of
White Print, a small business that specializes in print, web, marketing and event services.
"I have two passions in life, youth development and creative design, and luckily I get the privilege to fulfill both," she said. "Not only do I get to use my creativity to help others celebrate special occasions, but I also get the opportunity to help small businesses, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs grow."
