Fennell-Saegert Student Marketing Agency Program

is HIRING!

Looking for a summer internship that will make you stand out after graduation? Want to learn and get paid?

The Fennell-Saegert Student Marketing Agency Program is an excellent option for students looking to broaden their work experience during college and… we are searching for 3 driven students to join as consultants for the program for 2022!

The program starts May 23rd-July 8th, and consultants will be expected to work up to 40 hours a week. This year, the agency will be working hand in hand with Ska Brewing Company to develop two new products to add to their line of beverages, one non-alcoholic beverage and one alcoholic beverage. The recommendations made to Ska will be taken seriously, and you might end up seeing your recommended beverage in stores!

Gain hands-on experience by applying your knowledge from your studies and work with a diverse group of students with the Fennell-Saegert Student Marketing Agency. You will receive a competitive salary while also getting mentorship from FLC faculty and business leaders in Durango.

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity, if you have any questions or would like to apply, please email: marketingagency@fortlewis.edu

Hear from past students in the program!

“This agency was a great learning experience and helped me actually apply what I have been learning in school to real-life business situations. The mentorship throughout the program was amazing and helped me make great connections with the Durango community. I made great friends that will last a lifetime and even got a job offer in the end! I’d highly recommend this program for the learning opportunities, work experience, and local Durango connections.” - Ashley

Faculty Updates
Dr. Andrew Miller

Dr. Andrew S. Miller, Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems, recently had his work published along with his co-authors Robin Tang, Dr. Merrill Warkentin of Mississippi State University and Dr. Phil Zhou of Tongji University in the "Journal of Computer Information Systems."

Dr. Miller and his co-authors study rumor combatting behavior in this paper. The authors find that rumor combating behavior is influenced directly by the personal norm, altruism, social ties, and knowledge, and indirectly by perceived severity and perceived vulnerability through personal norms. The full paper can be read from the link below:
