Lip Sync Battle Night

10.5.2019 | 9 AM - 5 PM | UofM Art Museum
Co-organized by The Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change and the Art Museum of the University of Memphis.
Join Collegiate Women Alliance at a night of fun competition, a lip sync battle! Individuals and Teams will battle each other with a song of their choice. At the end of each battle, the audience will be the judge of the winner, by a round of applause. Admission Fee Items: Pads, tampons, feminine wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, wipes, tissue, face towels, bath towels, mouthwash, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lip bombs, lipsticks, hair ties, wigs, nail polish, hair bows, diapers, shoes (kids and adults), socks, blankets, jackets, and coats! Bring one of the items from this list above to get in! Items do NOT have to be expensive brands. All admission items will be donated to a local women's shelter. If you would like to be a Lip Sync Battler and/or for more information email tagibbs@memphis.edu. We can't wait to see you there!

The Student Government Association is pleased to announce that as of Friday, September, 6, it will now be providing complimentary access to NYTimes.com, for all faculty, students, and staff at the university.
In addition, to NYTimes.com access, The University of Memphis will also have access to curricular and co-curricular New York Times learning tools at www.NYTimesInEducation.com, which can be used to engage the campus community.
Please follow the instructions below for one-time registration to gain access to these websites.

1. Go to AccessNYT.com via the Libraries’ website  
2. Find “University of Memphis” from the dropdown menu
3. Complete the registration form with information requested
4.  Download the NYTimes.com apps.  Login into NYtimes.com on all your devices (smartphone, computer, and tablet)
5. ENJOY access to NYTimes.com from wherever you are !
Already have a NYTimes.com account?
1. Go to AccessNYT.com via the Libraries’ website

Apply for Tiger Leadership Institute 

The Tiger Leadership Institute is a six-week peer-facilitated leadership development program intended to enhance the leadership skills of any undergraduate student at the UofM! Learn the ropes of campus leadership and have a great time with your fellow Tiger! If you are a Freshman or Transfer student and have never participated in the Tiger Leadership Institute, please apply for the Level 1 Cohort. If you are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior OR have completed Level 1 in a previous semester, please wait to apply for the Level 2 Cohort in Spring of 2020. The Level 3 Cohort will be offered in Fall of 2020. Please visit Tiger Zone for more information and details about TLI! Applications close on Monday, September 9th.
