Undergraduate Instructional Apprentice (UGIA) and Undergraduate Tutor Application for Winter 2019 is now open. Juniors and Seniors can apply now for consideration for an IA position in a Winter biology class. Details and application instructions can be found on the Winter 2019 IA Application.

Interested in conducting research or perhaps getting a research internship for the SUMMER? Learn about requirements, application process, and incentives when doing research in the summer. Get tips on how to submit a competitive application. Applications will open in November, but first step is to attend this session and find an appropriate lab. It's about that time of the year again! The annual events committee of BSSA is hosting the yearly Office Hours Extended event (formerly known as the Professor-Student Mixer) and this year will be better than ever! We will have professors from the biology, chemistry and physics departments.

Get to know your professors and fellow students better while enjoying a nice dinner! Don't miss out on the chance to talk one-on-one with amazing professors outside of the classroom!

NEW WI19 Opportunity: Medical School Prep 101 - 1 unit

Attention 1st and 2nd Year students, HealthBeat is offering a a new Winter 2019 FMPH 198 course called Medical School Prep 101.
This course is designed for freshmen or sophomores who are interested in pursuing medicine and becoming physicians. Learn what it takes to prepare for medical school as well as what it takes to be a competitive applicant. We’ll cover everything from academic requirements, timeline and MCAT to obtaining relevant experiences (i.e. healthcare, service, leadership, and research), letters of evaluation, the 15 core competencies and more!
