Celebrate the life and legacy of W.E.B. Du Bois with W.E.B. Du Bois—An American Hero, written and produced by NYC–based actor and playwright Chad Lawson Cooper. The production, which will be staged at Monument Mountain High School, brings to life the story of Du Bois. It stars his great grandson, Jeffrey Du Bois Peck, in the title role, as well as veteran actor Ralph Carter of Good Times fame, and other cast members. More info

BIFF presents the documentary BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions, in partnership with The Du Bois Freedom Center and The Triplex Cinema at 11 a.m. on Sunday, and then at 3 p.m., BIFF’s Environmental Film Focus Winter Series presents Bad River. Puppeteer Carl Sprague returns to Ventfort Hall in Lenox to charm all ages with Hansel & Gretel. Sprague, who has appeared annually at Ventfort Hall with his “behind-the-scenery” mastery, inherited a collection of 60 antique Czech marionette that were assembled by his great-grandfather, Julius Hybler. Sprague also has been a set designer for The Royal Tenenbaums, The Age of Innocence, and more. More info

So, two shows are planned for Saturday at Adams Theater!
