Festive Open Houses

This is the time of year when our member wineries throw open their winery doors and host beautiful and plentiful holiday open houses. We put out a call to see just who is doing what.  In December you will find something special to do every weekend. Several events connect with the Redwood Empire Food Bank, they take place during the day, some are evening events, and others are family friendly. There is something for everyone! Check out our complete list HERE.

Holiday Hours

If you are planning to head out for some wine tasting along the Wine Road during this busy holiday season, we've collected some winery hours for you. We will continue to update this and post it on the home page of WineRoad.com, but for now, you can download the hours HERE.

Along the Wine Road

Finding the perfect place to stay when traveling can be daunting and time consuming. But, not if you turn to the Wine Road website and concierge service. These tools make it easy to find the perfect lodging that fits your criteria along the Wine Road. The diversity in types of lodgings, amenities, locations, and price ranges allows any visitor to find the perfect fit. Let’s explore some of the options, giving you a flavor of what else you might find tucked along the Wine Road.

Close In But Feels Miles Away

Daily life includes a lot of noise, commotion, and travel stress. Leaving all that behind can be a top priority while on a Wine Country getaway. A stay along the Wine Road can put you near the heart of the action, yet far away from the hustle and bustle. There are many options that are only minutes from a town, yet feel secluded and peaceful.

Inn at Occidental is located in the heart of the hamlet of Occidental. The serenity of the gardens, sitting porches and grounds are the perfect backdrop for leaving the world work and its worries behind.
The Applewood Inn & Spa is just minutes from Guerneville, but far enough out that the quiet of the surrounding redwood trees is palpable. The inn has the enchantment of a Mediterranean villa just minutes from the Russian River, quaint towns, a variety of dining options, and, of course, excellent wine tasting options just a short drive away. If you are celebrating something special, the Applewood staff will arrange long stem roses, chocolates, a cheese course, or sparkling wine awaiting your arrival. You can also order a picnic for your wine tasting adventures.
