Student Journalism Honor

The National Scholastic Press Association has named the Megaphone website one of 43 National Pacemaker Finalists from across the country! The Pacemaker is the association's preeminent school journalism award, recognizing the best of the best. Pacemaker winners will be announced on April 10. Ava Amos '21 and Ashlynn Bakemeyer '22 are co-editors of the Megaphone. Tony Willis is the moderator.
Sophomore Eagle Scout
Congratulations to Jacob Brey '23 on earning his Eagle Scout badge. For his Eagle Scout project, Jacob worked with Homeless Veterans in Indianapolis to landscape one of the 13 properties the organization runs for homeless veterans. The property has five living facilities that provide an opportunity for veterans to stabilize their living situation while they find work and get back on their feet. Congratulations, Jacob!

Summer is Calling

We are looking forward to another great summer at Camp Cathedral! The fun starts on June 7. Camp Cathedral offers more than 30 athletic camps and 50 enrichment camps on the beautiful 40-acre Cathedral campus. Whether your student wants to improve academic performance, train for the "A" team, get more playing time, master a new skill, or just have a great time, Camp Cathedral has all the options in one spot. Safety will be key as we provide a wonderful summer experience on the Hill.

Innovation Center Update
Crews took advantage of Spring Break and our virtual week of learning to make lots of progress on the Innovation Center. The glass is being installed and a new detention system will be installed in the courtyard this month.

While Innovation Center construction is in high gear, so is the support from so many members of our Cathedral family. We are proud to feature the McNulty family (shown above) in front of new signage celebrating their Cathedral family history and longstanding commitment to Cathedral.
National Merit Scholars
Congratulations to Joseph Egan '21, PJ Avery '21, and Isaac Michael '21 on being named National Merit Finalists. These outstanding scholars are being recognized for their tremendous academic accomplishments. National Merit winners will be announced later this spring.

Champion Musicians

Congratulations to the six Cathedral Pride of the Irish Band students who earned a Gold medal on a Level One selection in the Indiana School Music Association's Solo and Ensemble Contest. Level One is college-level material, and earning Gold is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Katie Timble '21-flute, Andrew Michael '23-snare drum, Gabe Tice '21-alto sax, Andrew Marcou '21-snare drum, Nick Rodecap '22-tenor sax, and Amelia DeSanto '22-flute. Kathy McCullough is the director of the Pride of the Irish.
