Proud justice
This fall, the TU College of Law will welcome Shawna Baker (JD & MS '02) as Distinguished Alumna in Residence. A justice on the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court, Baker is an expert in human rights (including the 2SLGBTQ+ community), health law, taxation and several other areas. Baker will teach courses on evidence and federal Indian law, and she is looking forward to helping the college revitalize its Native American law programming.

Deep immersion
The final semester of TU's Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program gives students fully immersive, practical, hands-on experience evaluating, treating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal and athletic injuries. Students put into practice all they have learned through coursework and emerge primed to get their careers underway. Meet four recent MAT students recently immersed in organizations in Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Literary treasures
Internationally renowned author Rilla Askew (BA '80) has donated her literary archive to TU. Housed in McFarlin Library's Department of Special Collections, this trove of notes, correspondence, drafts and other materials will enable students, scholars and the public to deepen their understanding of one of the country's most admired creative writers.

Meet this year's Global Graduates award recipients: Catherine Donner, Ashli Boxley, Heath Fusco, Ebrahim Obaid Rashed Obaid Alzaabi, Ann Marie Flusche and Nick Parisi. This is the premier award for undergraduate students who represent The University of Tulsa as global citizens. Recipients are distinguished for excelling academically, contributing to the campus community and taking part in unique experiences abroad.
