A Bit of Spring Cleaning
Thank you to all the Alabama A&M University (AAMU) students who showed up for the District 1 Cleanup Day on April 3!
The joint effort between AAMU and the Huntsville Green Team simultaneously served as the university's 6th annual Day of ServiceVolunteers removed trash, painted, and made repairs around the Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Recreation Center and surrounding community.
Fallen Huntsville Police Officer Garrett Crumby Injured Huntsville Police Officer Albert Morin
Honoring Officers Crumby, Morin
A funeral and graveside service were held Monday, April 3, for fallen Huntsville Police Officer Garrett Crumby, who died last week in the line of duty. Services were hosted at Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville before a long procession led to his burial site in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
The latest update on Officer Albert Morin says he remains in recovery, but is up walking and talking about wanting to exercise. Morin says he "can't wait to get back to work."
We continue to send thoughts and prayers to the families of these brave officers.
