LLS Spring 22 Work Study Contracts End on 4/30/22
April 30 is the last day for student employment during the spring semester. All student Research Assistants and Administrative Assistants working under work study funding must submit their hours worked for the last spring pay period by 1 p.m. on Friday, April 29. They can include any scheduled working hours for Saturday, April 30. Direct reminders to student workers will be sent from LLS Student Financial Services (SFS).
LMU Human Resources will manage the termination of a student’s spring 2022 position – managers do not need to complete any tasks. However, all managers should be aware of and note the following:
- RAs and Administrative Assistants should submit their last hours worked by 1 p.m. on Friday, April 29, including hours up to Saturday, April 30 to ensure they are paid in full. Students who missed entering hours for prior pay periods should contact LLS SFS immediately.
- LLS Student Financial Services manages work study hiring every term. Students are welcome to contact LLS SFS at studentfinancialservices@lls.edu to inquire about summer work study.
- Summer contract dates are May 31, 2022 to July 21, 2022. For RA or Administrative Assistant contracts, students must make work study arrangements at least 10 business days prior to May 31 to avoid delays if they intend to start working at the beginning of the summer contract period.
- Students approved to participate in the Summer Public Interest Employment Program SPIEP must follow the deadlines established by LLS Student Financial Services to begin working on May 31. The deadlines will be disclosed during the mandatory meeting for SPIEP participants in April.
- Please note that spring 2022 graduating students cannot work summer 2022. When hiring for summer 2022, you must hire a candidate that is continuing enrollment at LLS in summer or fall 2022. Students graduating in summer 2022 may request summer work study only if they are enrolled in at least two summer units.
